FlavourVerse is an interactive global flavour-discovery platform built to help flavourists, product developers, chefs and innovation teams find new flavour ideas by connecting foods, beverages, ingredients, cultures and sensory characteristics in one searchable environment. Rather than functioning as a simple list of flavours, it links concepts across geography, cuisine, flavour family, processing style, application and cultural context—making it much easier to move from a familiar starting point into less obvious inspiration.

The tool is designed for both structured research and serendipitous exploration. Users can browse dishes, fruits, beverages, botanicals and food-grade natural flavour sources; search by country or culture; explore rare and underutilized fruits; compare concepts; and move through interconnected constellation maps that reveal relationships between flavour concepts, places and sensory or application terms. The database also includes food-grade natural preparations such as essential oils, extracts, distillates, oleoresins and other flavour-source materials, with appropriate caution around identity, edible plant part, processing and regulatory review.

FlavourVerse can also be used as a practical concept-development workbench. Promising ideas can be saved, compared and combined into development directions, while the system highlights cultural connections, shared sensory traits, potential applications and useful bridges between seemingly unrelated concepts. The objective is not simply to answer “what flavours exist?”, but to help users uncover what could work next, why the connection makes sense, and where the idea could be applied.
